Most Christmases my husband worked. But on Christmas Eve when he got home very late, we’d put out all of the Santa gifts and then watch Scrooge on TV. They no longer show the Alastair Sim version so our oldest daughter bought us the DVD and we watch in bed every Christmas Eve.

When I was little my mom would make Monkey Bread for breakfast on Christmas Day 🙂 Now I would say my favorite tradition is getting to see all of my family and I get to hand out presents to everyone when it is time to open them. I am usually the one taking pictures of all the festivities and open mine last, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My favorite is that I love to bake and so at Christmas I bake all kinds of goodies and now one of my daughter’s loves to help. I make Blueberry Crumb Muffins for Christmas morning so before we open gifts they go in the oven, the Christmas music goes on,the fireplace gets lit then we open gifts with the smell and sound of Christmas. Then we have 20 people for Christmas day/dinner and it gets to be a little like the Griswolds but it’s memories that will last a lifetime!! Merry Christmas!!

My favorite tradition is doing a week of baking Christmas cookies and making chocolates with my mom and kids. Every year we pull out a few new recipes to try and if they are a hit to those we give trays to then they get added. As it stands today there are 40 different cookies and candies on the list. So cookie trays are always epic.

One of my favorite holiday tradition is cooking Christmas breakfast for my kids. This can be simple waffles or even homemade donuts. Another is making all the homemade treats (cookies, pretzels, etc…) for my family. Thank you for the chance.

Waking up SUPER early on Christmas morning (like, 3 a.m., early), while everyone else was still asleep, & checking out the goodies Santa left under the tree. I’d go thru my stocking, play with my toys, then go back to bed til 9-10:00. I don’t think my parents ever knew I did this!

I would say it’s a combination of!baking with my kiddos, celebrating my daughter’s birthday on Christmas Eve at grandma’s house followed by Christmas gifts and games. I look forward to those things every year!
